WHAT WE NEED?
- Candidates who are qualified, assertive, self disciplined, result oriented, organized, attentive to details, have a high sense of urgency, ability to work well under pressure and within a team.
- 4-5+ years experience in cargo handling activities. A college degree is preferred in Operations Management, business administration, or related discipline.
- Preferably 5 years of foreman/supervisory, project or team leader experience in container terminal operations environment, or related industry.
- No fear of heights.
- Good understanding of tabulating methods, vessel/equipment/container/lashing characteristics, safe working procedures.
- Good planning, leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
- General knowledge on Government Agencies (especially Customs) imports and exports procedures
WHAT YOU DO?
Vessel function
- Supervise the D&W and QC operators as a team leader
- Berth and sail the vessel safety, smoothly and according to schedules
- Ensure achieving the agreed target productivity with zero accidents under a safe working environment.
- Closely monitor the vessel operation and solve/report all the operational problems.
- Ensure that a satisfactory level of staff discipline is maintained.
- Ensure that tractor units are being correctly utilized to maximize vessel productivity and efficiency.
Yard function
- Supervise the RTG/RS/EH Operators as a team leader
- Monitor all of the yard activities and solve/report any operational issues during the shift
- Check the operator attendance and handle any rotation issues.
- Report the Defected equipment to SM and TEC Department
- Ensure achieving the agreed target productivity with zero accident under a safe working environment.
- Ensure that satisfactory level of staff discipline is maintained.
- Ensure that all the container handling equipment are being efficiently utilized to maximize vessel productivity and/or yard consolidation requirements.
